Aussie Host History

AussieHost was introduced to Australia by the Inbound Tourism Organisation of Australia (ITOA) in the early 1990s, modelled on the successful Canadian Super Host program established in 1985 and still going strong today. Initially AussieHost provided a solid and practical customer service program aimed at the tourism and hospitality industries. However, very quickly AussieHost training found favour with a wider range of service sectors and has since been delivered to businesses of all kinds. An impressive 20,000 businesses of all types have used AussieHost.

Currently owned by the Australian Retailers Association (ARA) and administered by the ARA Retail Institute, AussieHost is managed by KiwiHost under a long term management agreement. The AussieHost management team is based in the ARA offices in Melbourne with marketing, production, R&D and support provided by KiwiHost.
