Historic Shirley Bed & Breakfast

The Historic Shirley Hotel, as it is known in the district and by the many visitors who have stopped here in the past, was first established in 1886 when Bethungra was a busy railway town. 

 It is being lovingly restored to its former glory and opened as a Bed and Breakfast establishment in December, 2002.  The hotel is set in two acres of gardens and guests are welcome to relax in the many ‘private’ shady areas. 

 The Shirley Hotel Bed & Breakfast boasts approximately 40 rooms.  All rooms have unique, high and beautiful, decorative ceilings. There are 13 bedrooms for guests, several dining rooms, two lounge rooms, a function center, a reception room, verandahs on three sides of the hotel, store rooms and an owner’s residence of 6-7 rooms. 

 Of the 13 bedrooms which are beautifully decorated and appointed, three have their own ensuite.  The remaining 10 bedrooms share facilities.  All but two bedrooms have their own access, via French doors, to the verandahs.  Each bedroom has a TV and most have their own tea/coffee making facilities or access to them.

Junee Motor Inn

Centrally located on Broadway between the Junee Ex-Services Club and the Junee Hospital, opposite the Broadway Museum and adjacent to Junee's supermarket, the motel has recently been refurbished and is in walking distance to just about everything in Junee. Follow signs for the Ex-Services Club from anywhere in town. The club is open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week.

The Junee Motor Inn has 18 exceptionally clean and comfortable 3.5 star ensuite rooms in a quiet garden setting. All rooms are ground floor and open onto a large garden and pool area and have a separate door on the carpark side which has ample space for trailers, ets. A swimming pool, BBQ, queen size beds, Austar, wireless internet, free video library, magazines and books are available for guests. Reverse cycle air conditioning, TV, Video refrigerator, toaster, electric blankets and coffee making facilities - all the conveniences to make your stay comfortable.

Generous cooked breakfasts are available on request.

Junee Tourist Park

Under new management! Junee Tourist Park's office is open from 7.30am to 9pm every day of the week. You'll be greeted with a smile and be able to get lots of information on Junee and its surrounding areas. The park has a small convenience store.

The Park is within walking distance to shops and the supermarket, as well as the famous Junee Licorice & Chocolate Factory.

Sandy Beach

Sandy Beach is a shining light along the Murrumbidgee River.

The character of majestic red gums filled with parrots, shading well-manicured grass allow the ideal environment for a picnic by the river or for an extended stay. Enhancing its natural ambience, Sandy offers modern toilet facilities, a concrete boat ramp, tables with shades, and rubbish removal facilities making this riverside reserve a popular stopover for Australia's nomadic retirees.

Rare aquatic species such as the secretive platypus and the endangered trout cod are common at Sandy, whilst the mighty Murray Cod and golden Perch rule the waters under the fallen red gums. Imagine the rolling hills, the river snaking westward, and a cold drink by the cool waters of the Murrumbidgee.

The Commercial Heritage Hotel is centrally located and just a short stroll from just about everything in Junee's CBD. There is a variety of low-cost room at only $45 per person per night.

You have access to a large balcony where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the beautiful historical town of Junee.

When you are ready to venture downstairs to the bar you will be greeted by the friendly staff where you can choose from an abundance of cold beverages and delicious meals!

The Crossing Motel

The Crossing Motel provides 4 star accommodation in 18 units, comprising Standard, Deluxe, Studio, 2-bedroom family suites, Executive suites with double spa and a Disabled unit, all with air conditioning, queen size beds, remote TV, and free 8-channel Austar.
