Festival Transport

There are a number of options for getting to, and around, Junee for the Festival, including Tin Hare trains and historic double-decker and 'bendy' buses!

Tin Hare Trains

Need a ride to the Festival? Enjoy a nostalgic train trip on the historic 'Tin Hare' rail motors.

The heritage Tin Hare trains, provided by Lachlan Valley Railway, will shuttle visitors between Wagga Wagga and Junee, and Cootamundra and Junee (via the Bethungra Spiral) between 9.00am and 6.00pm on Saturday and Sunday. Take in the spectacular countryside as you make the relaxing journey to Junee, just like so many did in days gone by.

  • Shuttles will run from Junee to Wagga (return) each day

  • One shuttle will pick up from Wagga each day (in the morning) and provide a return journey from Junee (in the afternoon) to allow visitors from Wagga to utilise the train shuttles rather than driving to Junee.

  • Shuttles will run from Junee to Cootamundra (return) each day, via the Bethungra Rail Spiral (no pick up in Cootamundra).

  • Two mini shuttle services will operate on a short tour route (one on Saturday and one on Sunday). These are great for children.

  • A package option has been created which includes the Junee Lamb Dinner at the Railway Cafe followed by a shuttle to the Wind in the Roundhouse Concert. Concert tickets must be purhcased separately. More details can be found on the Buy Tickets Now page.

  • All train rides are subject to the Tin Hare Train Shuttle Terms and Conditions.

BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL FOR ALL SHUTTLE SERVICES. Please carefully select the shuttle you wish to ride and book and pay for your ticket using the Online Booking System which can be accessed here. Tin Hares kindly bought to the festival by Junee Railway Cafe.
